With me being home right now, I keep thinking that I should super-clean my house or be baking bread or finally catch up on our laundry. But I haven't done those things. I get to spend time with Tafton which is awesome but he is such a Momma's boy tht it's hard for me to do anything by myself without him screaming for me to pick him up or walk him around(which even though he can crawl to get around now, he still likes to walk. He practically started skipping today he was so excited about it). Once Tafton goes down for his nap I start looking for a job or doing homework (I'm taking two online classes). So even without me working right now I don't have a lot of free time to do all these things I thought I would do if I was a stay-at-home Mom. I guess I think I should be this perfect wife and Mother and and I think I'm picturing the 50's housewife. I should be wearing an apron with my hair immaculate and my house smelling like warm out of the oven bread. But it doesn't. I feel good if I get out of pajama pants, and my house probably smells like Tafton's diapers (which have been a real treat since he's started eating real food;-) ).
I've applied at a lot of places and haven't heard back from any of them. It's only been five days of putting my name out there but I'm starting to get worried that if I don't get at least an interview soon that we're going to have to try to sell our house. Most of the places I've been applying are through online job searches, I haven't looked through the paper yet because we don't get the paper but I need to start doing that too.
It would be so nice if we could find a way for me to stay home with Tafton and with a new baby on the way. I think with two kids under two it would just be easiest for me to be with them. Especially since I'll be breastfeeding. It kinda sucks that we were born when we were. okay that sounds weird but if we had been born five years earlier we'd be done with school and could get better paying jobs easier. If we were born five years later (we wouldn't be married or be out of school or have Tafton) then by the time we were really trying to get jobs and have kids maybe this recession would be done.
I know this hasn't been the most upbeat of posts but it's just some thoughts that have been going through my head. More upbeat posts to come.

I struggle getting things done too. My house should be so clean, but it is far from it. Taking care of kids really does take up a lot of time and energy. I hope that you guys can get things figured out soon. Let me know what I can do to help. We get the newspaper, so you can look at it if you want. Congrats again on the baby. Two kids is a lot of work, but so much fun!
Hey Megan, I love your new blog page - its great. Keep your chin up. Experience has taught me that when one door closes, another door opens. Things seem discouraging now but have faith and I am certain things will work out. Enjoy your time home with Tafton.
wow its been awhile since i've seen your blog and so much has changed for you guys!!! congrats on the baby on the way, do you know what it is or is it still too early? And i'm so sorry about your job thats a long time to have worked there, dont loose hope unfortunately these things tend to take time but it will work out. If there is anything i've learned from our situation you gain a greater apprieciation for the little things and find whats truely most important in life and those things cant be taken away.
Tough times. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel in more ways than one. (I didn't know you were expecting again? We are seriously on the same timeline almost!) But you know what? Heavenly Father always provides a way. And what ever way it is, will be what is meant to be, and will be best for your little family. We'll keep you in our prayers.
